Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it have and how you could use the details you will find inside it.
An access log is a detailed list of all the files which were accessed by the guests of a particular Internet site. Any file which was requested for some reason shall be listed, so if you have one webpage with three embedded pics, one video and one embedded text file, as an example, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for every of the six files which were accessed when the visitor opened the webpage. A log normally provides the file name and path, the date, plus the visitor’s OS, browser and IP address. Oftentimes you could also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your website. The data which an access log file provides is in human-readable plain text format. It can also be processed by special software on a personal computer and used to write reports on the functionality of a website, aside from the web statistics your server may have generated.

Access Log Manager in Hosting
Our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel has a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are among them. When you sign in to your
hosting account and go to this section, you'll find a list of all the
domain names and subdomains which you have. All it takes to allow the generation of access logs is to press a button which will be available next to every domain/subdomain. If the option is active, you'll see a download link together with the file size so far, so you will be able to save the file to your personal computer and look at it or process it with some app. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect right away, so if you no longer require one, you can stop it with simply a mouse click from the very same section of the Control Panel. You shall still have the ability to access the already generated content by simply clicking on the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our sophisticated website hosting platform shall create access logs for any site hosted inside a
semi-dedicated server account, as long as this function is permitted. All domain names and subdomains that you have will be listed within the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, which we provide with all of the accounts, so if you want our system to start creating logs for any of them, you should simply click on the compact button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and switch the default Off option to On. You could stop this feature at any time by following exactly the same steps. You can find a Download link for each log in the same section of the Control Panel, so you will be able to save the content produced by our system in .txt format with simply a click. An existing log file may be downloaded even after the option has been disabled, so you'll still be able to check out the data that has already been generated.
